Children's Ministry
Our Children's Ministry has started back up again after taking a hiatus during Covid. They have been meeting on every other Sunday evening from 6:00 to 7:00. They have a Bible lesson, play games and have snacks. In the new year we hope to start doing more with our children's ministry, the year of 2023 will be a rebuilding year. Keep checking in for new things to come!

We are welcoming all youth to come and join us in growing in Christ. Please come check out what RBC has to offer in spiritual development of our youth as they transition from middle school to high school and from high school into young adult. The youth meet on every other Sunday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Stay tuned for new and exciting things in the year 2023.
Music Ministry
At Rustburg Baptist Church, our primary mission is to glorify Jesus Christ in everything we do. The mission of the music ministry is to provide spirit led, heartfelt worship that helps to fulfill the overall mission of bringing glory to Jesus. No matter where you are in your spiritual walk, our hope is that you feel moved and inspired to dig deeper.
RBC offers a variety of music, ranging from traditional hymns to contemporary worship. We encourage our youth and small children to participate frequently in songs, as well as short skits and dramas.
Come join us! If you play an instrument or enjoy singing, we would love to hear from you.
"Serve the Lord with gladness; come before his presence with singing" Psalm 100:2
Sunday School Classes
Rustburg Baptist Church offers a variety of Sunday school classes starting at 9:30 am on Sunday mornings. Children have classes that break down in the following : Preschool, 1st, 2nd & 3rd grade, and Middle School. We have several adult classes to choose from so we invite you to come and check them out. With the options to choose from we are sure you will find the class that fits your needs.
As Rustburg Baptist Church continues to grow, we hope to have more classes available to meet the needs of all who come and wish to learn and grow in their faith and their knowledge. Each class is focusing on their personal relationship with Jesus Christ and learning how to help each other achieve that goal.
Brotherhood Firewood Ministry
The Brotherhood Firewood Ministry is a great ministry at Rustburg Baptist. This ministry meets once a month to split and stack wood that is given to those in our community that are in need of wood to heat their homes during those cold winter months. The woodmen's ministry is accepting donations of trees or other wood materials that are safe to heat homes. Please contact John Wallisky at 434-332-5381 to find out how you can donate or help in this important community service.

Red Truck Ministry
Rustburg Baptist Church is a proud member and contributor of The Red Truck Ministry. This is a ministry that seeks to provide healthy food for those in need and provide the spiritual food of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This ministry will focus on areas that are identified as food deserts: high poverty; lack of transportation; lack of access to healthy foods. There are 8 areas in Lynchburg City, 2 in Amherst County, and 1 in Bedford County, that are designated as food deserts. Of the 34 food pantries in Lynchburg, only 4 operate with in one of the 8 food deserts. We hope to provide fresh fruits and vegetables, when in season. Canned fruits, vegetables, local grass fed beef, canned tuna, baby food, peanut butter and other assorted canned goods.
As a contributor of The Red Truck Ministry, Rustburg Baptist has been assigned to donate peanut butter, however, any and all donations are a welcomed gift as we strive to help those in need. We also are looking for volunteers that are willing to serve on the days that The Red Truck Ministry sets up in different areas. Please see Pastor Rick Cole or Ruth (Church Secretary) to find out how you can be of help. You may also go to www.redtruckministry.org to inquirer about days and times you can be of service.
Mission Trip
Each year members of Rustburg Baptist Church have been participating in a mission trip coordinated by the Lynchburg Baptist Association. As of this year, 2023, they have turned the planning of these trips over RBC. We and the members of other Baptist churches in this area travel to places in need of help. We join with others in these places from a variety of denominations to share the love of Christ with those in need, repairing homes, building handicap ramps, ministering in nursing homes or other ministries.
Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child
Our church is proud to be a drop off center for the Campbell County area for Operation Christmas Child (OCC). Each year we volunteer to collect shoeboxes for this amazing ministry and then we box them and drop them off to the Lynchburg collection center. This is always a big event and we enjoy every moment of it. There isn't a better way to warm your heart at this important time of year than to know you are giving something to a child who may not have ever known Jesus Christ without this shoebox of goodies. Please feel free to learn more about OCC by visiting the website below. If you are moved by what you learn we are always happy to have volunteers sign up at our church to help out during collection times.
